Fortnite Tame & Pet an Animal Guide

Fortnite isn’t only about building skyscrapers and outlasting opponents—it’s way more than that. One of the good features Epic Games threw into the mix is the ability to tame or pet animals, including boars and wolves. You can pet these wildlife creatures right in the middle of all the chaos. Let’s not waste any time—here’s how you can tame and pet animals in Fortnite. Trust me, it’s easier than winning a Victory Royale (maybe).

You can’t spot these creatures walking in Tilted Towers, they prefer the specific parts of the map where there is not much crowd and hustle. Finding animals can be a bit of a scavenger hunt, but that’s part of the journey. Boars and wolves usually appear in natural spots—think grasslands, or around water areas in the forests. However, there are more workarounds to locate the wolves, so you need to be ready to invest your time and channel your inner animal tracker.

To tame an animal, you’ve got two options: be sneaky with some food or go full-on action hero and leap onto its back. Boars become softhearted after seeing the veggies. Carrots, cabbage—anything that screams “farmer’s market”—will do the trick. Wolves, on the other hand, like the real world love the carnivore lifestyle. Give them some meat, and they will not attack in return. But if you’re trying to tame a raptor (which, by the way, usually come in pairs because they’re sociable like that), you might want to craft a Hunter’s Cloak first. This cloak acts as a magical invisibility cape that lets you get closer to them without triggering their attack hunger.

Once you’ve tamed your furry companion (boar or wolf), you can pet it now. Jump on its back and choose the “pet” option on your screen. Right after that, your character will start petting the creature. It’s a heartwarming moment in the middle of all the shooting and looting—a little reminder that even in Fortnite, we all need a bit of TLC.

Taming and petting animals in Fortnite is another level of excitement to enjoy in the game. Having animals as your companions has been quite common in video games, and it’s a great element that offers a nice feel to players. Other than looting, killing, and surviving for the victory in battle royale, you are making animal friends along the way. Moreover, these creatures can assist you in the fights, so your upcoming battles will be less tough than usual. So go out there, tame the wild animals, and have as much fun as you can have along with them.
