Losomn in Remnant 2 ends with a choice: kill Faelin or kill Faerin. Both Fae bosses swear the other is an imposter, demand the other’s head, want you to do their dirty work, and offer different rewards for it. Slot the two Mural Pieces into the circular device in the Palace Courtyard, pull the lever to pick your side, and you’re now to proceed. The difficulty is the same in either boss fight; what changes is the weapon and ring you will get, and that’s what should drive your decision.

The lever in the center of the Palace Courtyard mural controls the portal. If you align the light side of the circle with the door, you’ll enter the Beatific Gallery and encounter Faelin. Conversely, pointing the dark side at the door will lead you to the Malefic Gallery to confront Faerin. You can switch back and forth using the lever before committing to a fight, so take your time to decide.
What You Get If You Side with Faerin and Kill Faelin?

Killing Faelin completely favors ranged loadouts. The boss drops the Imposter’s Heart, which you can take to Ava McCabe in Ward 13 to craft Deceit, a split-barreled long gun with a mod that summons three sword fragments that circle your character for 30 seconds. When you melee an enemy, the fragments burst out, and all Deceit shots briefly register as Weak Spot hits.
After defeating the boss, return to the Malefic Gallery and tell Faerin about Faelin’s death. He will give you Faerin’s Sigil, a ring where Critical and Weak Spot Hits generate 10% extra Mod Power, excellent for any ranged crit hit build.
What You Get If You Side with Faelin and Kill Faerin?

If you slay down Faerin, you will receive the Melded Hilt, which Ava McCabe uses to craft the Godsplitter melee sword, whose mod can make all Charge Attacks register additional hits as Weak Spot damage for 2 seconds. The blade is built for melee players who want to squeeze out big burst damage.
After the fight, return to Faelin and report that you killed Faerin to earn Faelin’s Sigil, a ring that generates 10% extra Mod Power from Melee damage.
Should You Kill Faelin or Faerin in Remnant 2?

If you are confused about the choice, it’s recommended to kill Faelin first. Both are big liars, so guilt isn’t a factor.
Deceit is a very reliable and powerful long-range rifle that slots into almost any archetype setup. Melee builds in Remnant 2 need highly curated gear and specific rings to work well against the tough bosses on Nightmare or Apocalypse, so the Godsplitter sword isn’t for everyone. Furthermore, Godsplitter has had some problems with mutators, and the gun is the better, safer bet.
How to Get Both Rewards (And a Secret Amulet)
You can’t kill Faelin and Faerin in one playthrough, but there’s a reason to eventually do all of this twice, or more accurately, four times total.
Once defeated one boss and received the Sigil ring from the survivor, you can take both Sigil rings to Nimue to craft the One True King Sigil amulet, which levels up Mod damage by 20% and improves the effect of Sigil rings by 50% each when equipped at once.
But the amulet will consume the rings, so you’ll have to fight every boss twice to have the amulet and both rings in hand. Reroll Adventure Mode to do the other run — character progress carries over, so you will just farm the alternate rewards. Once you have the amulet, there’s also a secret relic you can unlock by equipping the amulet and interacting with the large statue between the red crystal and the mural device in Beatific Palace.
