Remnant 2 is a dark-action RPG that features a lot of events, puzzles, secrets, and choices that can affect your gameplay and rewards. One of the most intriguing events is the Council Chamber dungeon, where you have to investigate the assassination of the One True King and accuse one of the Fae Council members of being the impostor. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to complete this Council Chamber event, solve the puzzles, and obtain a great reward.
How to Find the Council Chamber in Remnant 2
The Council Chamber dungeon is located in the Losomn, which is one of the four realms that you can explore in Remnant 2. Losomn is an enchanting land of the Fae, a race of magical beings that have a complex history and culture. To get there, you’ll want to head over to the World Stone in the Hub. Once you’re there, just interact with it and pick Losomn as your destination. In Adventure mode, keep resetting Losomn until you start at the Palace Courtyard checkpoint; that’s your ideal starting point.
Next up, you’ve got to find the Jester, it’s got a quill you’ll need. It’s the key item that helps you find the entrance to the Council Chamber. We don’t know for sure where this dungeon can be because the game employs randomized development. So, what you’ll do is roam around, checking all the doors near where you met the Jester. Use the quill, and it’ll guide you to the correct spot. Remember, if you’re having a tough time finding the entrance, don’t sweat it. Just reset the world and start the search again.
Remnant 2 Council Chamber Puzzle Solution
You’re going to find yourself in the middle of this intriguing gathering with the Fae Council. The council consists of three members: Oniril, Savan, and Nyele. They’ve got a mystery on their hands – someone among them has betrayed and killed the One True King of Losomn. And guess what? They need your help to figure out who the imposter is.
Now, you’ve got two ways to handle this. You can play it like Sherlock Holmes, gather evidence, and accuse the right council member based on what you find. Or, if you’re feeling a bit daring, you can take a wild guess and accuse someone without any evidence.
Accuse the Correct Member with Evidence
If you want to accuse the correct member with evidence, you will need to do some detective work and find the Assassin’s Dagger, which is the weapon that was used to kill the One True King.
Search the Council Chamber map for a black mirror, which will transport you to the Council Tribunal. Once you’re in the Council Tribunal, look out for a room that’s a dead ringer for the Council Chamber. Here’s where your puzzle-solving skills come into play.
You need to grab three keys from under the council members’ seats and then match these keys with their reflections on the other side of a glass floor. Once you nail this, a door behind the seats will open.
Through the door, you’ll access the Throne Room. It’s kind of eerie because you’ll see the petrified body of the One True King. Your goal here is to climb up the body using rock platforms and then, a bit gruesomely, pull out the Assassin’s Dagger from the back of the king’s head.
Now, the crucial part – examining the dagger. Check out the hilt’s end; you’ll find a colored jewel with a sigil. Depending on the jewel and sigil, you can identify the imposter:
- Red jewel with an eye symbol: Oniril
- Teal jewel with a diamond design: Savan
- Purple jewel with a floral engraving: Nyele
Once you’ve got your suspect, head back to the Fae Council and select the “I am prepared to make an accusation” option. Pick the imposter that matches your dagger clue and hand over the dagger as proof. Then, watch the cutscene unfold as the imposter gets executed.
The end reward for all this detective work is the Ornate Blade. It’s a sleek, swift melee sword that’s perfect for close-range combat. Not only does it look cool, but it also dishes out moderate damage with quick attack patterns.
Accuse a Random Member without Evidence
If you don’t want to bother with finding the evidence, you can also accuse a random member without evidence. However, this option has some drawbacks and risks.
Once telling about the imposter, you just pick a random council member – no evidence, no clues, just your gut feeling. This is where it gets dicey. If you’re lucky and you happen to accuse the right imposter, you’ll complete the event and obtain the Ornate Blade as your prize.
But, if luck isn’t on your side and you accuse the wrong person… well, that’s when things get a bit rough. The real imposter gets revealed and suddenly, you’re in a boss fight with all three of them. These bosses are no joke – tough and dangerous. But if you manage to beat them, not only do you get the Ornate Blade, but you also get the Fae Protector Signet. This ring bumps up your Max Health by 10 and cuts down your Encumbrance by 5. But you’ve just made enemies with the Fae Council and other realms.
So, accusing without evidence is a gamble. You could hit the jackpot or end up with nothing but trouble. It’s not the recommended route unless you’re feeling super lucky or you don’t care about the rewards and your standing with the Fae. Sometimes, taking risks is part of the adventure but remember, every choice has its consequences in the world of Remnant 2.
