If you’ve been wanting a new MacBook, now is the time to buy one. The 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro is on sale for $1,399 on Amazon with a $200 discount—the best deal we’ve seen on this machine in a while. It beats the M4 MacBook Air in many ways. You get a high-refresh-rate mini-LED display, double the storage, and 16GB of RAM—all while paying less.

For $1,399, the M4 MacBook Pro packs a lot of power. Right out of the box, you get 16GB of unified RAM which means smooth multitasking while editing videos, working on large spreadsheets, or running multiple apps at once. Unlike the M4 MacBook Air which starts with just 8GB of RAM, this one is built to handle more demanding tasks without slowing down.

Storage is a big win too. The base MacBook Pro comes with 512GB of SSD storage which is double what you get in the base M4 MacBook Air. If you save a lot of files, download big-size applications, or even dabble in gaming, you won’t have to worry about running out of space anytime soon. There’s also a 1TB option for $1,599 but for most people, the 512GB model is the sweet spot.

One of the standout features is the 120Hz ProMotion mini-LED display. Compared to the standard 60Hz LCD screen on the MacBook Air, this high-refresh-rate panel makes everything smooth, sharp, and more vivid. If you’re scrolling, watching movies, or playing games, there will be a difference to notice. If display quality matters to you, this alone is a big reason to choose the Pro over the Air.

And let’s not forget the M4 chip. Apple’s latest silicon is designed for efficiency and power so you get fast performance and great battery life. For everyday work, photo editing or even running some AAA games, the M4 MacBook Pro handles it easily. Further, Apple’s optimization means you can go all day on a single charge making it a great laptop for students, professionals, and creatives on the go.

The M4 MacBook Air costs $1,299 but you only receive 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage—half of what the Pro offers. Plus, the Air has a standard 60Hz LCD display while the Pro has a 120Hz mini-LED display. For just $100 more the Pro gives you better performance, better display and double the storage—a no-brainer. Apple rarely discounts its Pro models and with the M4 MacBook Air now out Apple is shifting focus to selling those instead. So deals on the MacBook Pro might not last long.
