OnePlus 11 Release Date, Price & Features: Everything We Know So Far

For the current year’s OnePlus lineup, the company came with a big surprise when they directly released the OnePlus 10 Pro rather than the base model and this thing shocked many of us. But now is the time to talk a bit about the next year’s major flagship phones series by OnePlus. So considering what the company did recently made us think about in what ways does this impact the OnePlus 11?

Despite the lack of any physical evidence for more than one handset, rumors have circulated suggesting a lot of repetition. This time, however, the names could be backward, since there would be no Pro version. Below is everything we know so far about the OnePlus 11 release date, price, and features.

OnePlus 11 Release Date

Neither the OnePlus 11 nor the OnePlus 11 Pro have been officially announced by the company till now. However, slightly earlier in 2023 is a reasonable estimate given that OnePlus typically releases new phones in the spring and that the OnePlus 10 Pro was announced in January 2022 in China.

However, it may happen, perhaps earlier than this estimate. With that in mind, it stands to reason that the latest OnePlus product line will debut at the end of the year, as reported by the fairly solid tipster Digital Chat Station. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip is expected to power the OnePlus 11, and this chipset will release in November. That only applies to China.

To get a more clear idea about the expected release date, let’s take a look at the launch dates of some previous OnePlus base and Pro models. We are not mentioning the ‘T’ versions as they launch later on.

According to the company’s revised release schedule, the OnePlus 11 smartphone wouldn’t hit shelves worldwide until March 2023. On the other hand, we might see the debut in China in December 2022.

Since OnePlus hasn’t announced the cost of their new phone, we’ll have to rely on the cost of their earlier models to get a ballpark figure. Recently released premium OnePlus phones have been priced as follows:

A Pro version of the OnePlus 11 will likely cost about the same as the recent OnePlus 10 Pro. Still, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a more affordable option alongside the other lineup editions. However,  things aren’t so simple, as the global chip shortfall, barriers in production and delivery due to Covid, and Russia’s attack on Ukraine are causing the prices to increase.

OnePlus 11 Features

Since there aren’t many leaks concerning the OnePlus 11 up to this point, more information is starting to trickle out.

Firstly, there is the name itself to consider. Rumors suggest that this time will be similar to 2022, when OnePlus only released the 10 Pro and not the 10, only with one device featuring premium specifications. A shift in the names has been hinted at by whistleblowers Max Jambor and OnLeaks. This new model will be known as the OnePlus 11, possessing hardware specifications equal to Pro models.

The first thing to know is that OnLeaks, in conjunction with SmartPrix, has leaked the first-ever image of the phone’s design, which is widely believed to be that of the 11 Pro.

OnLeaks created these visuals relying on a “prototype,” showing off some essential features. Notably, the device sports the alert slider, and Hasselblad labeling was seen on the 10 Pro, though not available on the 10T. The camera system layout is shown in a round shape, similar to the one found on the 10 Pro, but with a few key differences. As might be expected, the given design shows three camera lenses and a flash on the back.

Further detailed specifications have been made available thanks to a collaboration between OnLeaks and 91Mobiles. The most important is that the device will come with Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which is widely expected to become the standard in flagship phones sometime in the 2023’s first quarter.

Furthermore, the leaks claim that the 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ AMOLED display will make a comeback, that the amount of RAM will be expanded to 16GB, and that the phone will feature a massive 5,000 mAh battery with 100W quick charge, which is notably sluggish compare to the charging in OnePlus 10T which is 150W.
