Every major MMO project, which is simply obliged to release an update to maintain interest in its project of interest from old players, sooner or later must deviate at least a little from its canons. This is simply inevitable, as developers often experiment in trying to both retain old gamers and attract new players and it’s often done by supplementing the storyline with interesting locations and by adding a casual component to the game.
It is not necessarily a cardinal simplification, just an acceleration of pumping, and a decrease in the complexity of obtaining materials and equipment, and such an approach will certainly lead to an influx of new players and an outflow of old ones.
To somehow keep the attention of old players and at the same time offer gamers the old concept of World of Warcraft in hardcore conditions and the old style with the adoption of the best chips of the Dragonflight update, the developers simply updated the graphics and improved the interface familiar to all players.
They took one of the most popular add-ons, Wrath of the Lich King, as a basis and released a classic version for WoW.
Basic Moments in World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King
The first thing you should understand is that if you have never played the old versions of World of Warcraft and did not find those very hardcore updates, then the classic version is not an easy walk. In the edition, the maximum level is 80, but only a few were able to achieve such a result.
There are several reasons for this:
Firstly, the developers did not want to make a clone of the Dragonflight update and released the classic version so that players enjoy the process of achieving their goals, and not the results themselves. With the right approach, during pumping, you will find a lot of PVP, the accumulation of materials, and the implementation of professions, which in the Wrath of the Lich King play a more important role and are a good source of equipment.
Secondly, these are more familiar canons, which the players have missed a lot, and some of them return to the restarted Azeroth servers to look at the long-forgotten old chronicles from a new angle.

Leveling Up in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
Since Wow Wotlk cannot have the same character development dynamics as in the Dragonflight update, you will have to be content with the long development of your hero and there are several ways to do this:
Main and Additional Quests
In all MMOs where progression requires special efforts and a lot of time, the main bet should always be on quests – a stable source of experience that depends on your speed, and not luck and other factors. The advantage of quests is stability and speed, but often you lose the opportunity to earn additional materials and equipment if you concentrate just on tasks and run from NPC to NPC.
Grind
In projects such as World of Warcraft Wrath of The Lich King, if you set yourself the goal of not pumping the fastest, but being a fully-fledged strong, and prepared character, then you can sacrifice speed for good. Due to the grind, you can stay in profitable locations for the maximum amount of time and accumulate useful materials and resources that you will use in the future to develop your chosen profession or sell to artisans interested in buying.
But it will not be easy to get good equipment comparable to your future levels and, ideally, lay the groundwork for development in advance – simply squeezing the maximum gold out of each level to either be able to craft weapons and armor for yourself or buy non-personal items on the marketplace for easier leveling in the future.
Professions
Professions in World of Warcraft are special kinds of activities that are aimed at accumulating or realizing resources to create items and equipment, weapons, jewelry, stones, and other useful attributes that enhance the general characteristics of heroes. In the future, this will help equip the character or earn good gold by selling mined materials or finished products to other players.
Professions among themselves can be divided into collective and creative. Gathering are professions that are needed for the extraction of materials, and each of them can be associated with a production profession. Ideally, one should either combine a gathering and a crafting profession to provide a full production cycle or learn two gatherings to find resources and sell them to other players in order to earn gold.
Creating professions, on the contrary, is needed to make a finished product from the accumulated materials, and it’s much more difficult to upgrade any craft without the necessary base of materials. Of course, you can buy them from other players, but you will need a large budget until you level up to the possibility of crafting items of a decent level.
Gathering Professions
Skinning – buy a carving knife and skin-slaughtered animals for leather, but don’t forget to collect meat – it will come in handy in cooking.
Gathering Herbs – Collect all the plants and herbs you can find, they will be useful for alchemy and crafting first aid items.
Mining – you will need a pickaxe and knowledge of the highlands. Look for points with a pickaxe mark to find rocks that can be mined and get the ore and gems needed for blacksmithing and jewelry crafting.
Basic Professions for Crafting
Blacksmithing – consumes ore and creates heavy armor and steel weapons. Mounts gem sockets with stats for heroes.
Leatherworking – works with leather and creates light armor.
Jewelcrafting – produces jewelry and special stones with characteristics.
Tailoring – sews bags and magical armor. The thread is crafted from materials mined from monsters and does not require a gathering profession.
Inscription – works with reagents and creates recipe scrolls. Thanks to the inscribers, recipes appear, they are instructions for crafting items for other professions, and the master himself can make magical staves and ink.
Engineer – works with ore and creates mechanisms and automated armor boosters like missiles and turrets.
