In Helldivers 2, you can customize your loadout with various weapons, Stratagems, and perks as per your preference. But if you want to access some of the most powerful and stylish items in the game, you will need Super Credits.
These credits are a premium currency that can be used to buy exclusive gear from the Super Store, which changes its inventory every 48 hours. You can also use Super Credits to unlock the Steel Veterans Premium Warbond, which gives you access to more rewards and challenges. But how can you get these items without spending real money? This guide tells you the ways to earn Super Credits in Helldivers 2.
Spend Warbond Medals
In the game, you’ve got another currency Warbond Medals, which you snag by completing missions and objectives on the Galactic War map. Once you’ve collected a bunch, you can head over to the Acquisition Center to trade them in for Super Credits.
There are two kinds of Warbonds you’ll come across. First up, there’s the freebie version, Helldivers Mobilize, and then there’s the one you’ve got to shell out some cash for, the Steel Veterans Premium Warbond. Both of these have some levels or tiers, and at each tier, you can get a pack of Super Credits. The catch is, that the further you go, the more medals you’ll need to invest, starting from just one medal up to ten.
With the Helldivers Mobilize Warbond, you can rack up to 800 Super Credits, and if you decide to go for the Steel Veterans Premium Warbond, that’s an additional 300 Super Credits in your inventory. But to unlock the Steel Veterans option, you’re going to need to spend a whopping 1000 Super Credits first. So, it’s a pretty sweet deal if you’ve already got the Super Citizen Edition of the game, which includes the premium Warbond, or if you’re just into obtaining all the extra items and challenges the game has to offer.
Find Points of Interest
In the game, you’ll notice the diamond icons popping up on your mini-map. Those are Points of Interest (POIs) and they’re like little treasure chests scattered all around. You can find all sorts of valuable items in them, like weapons, ammo, Requisition Slips, Medals, and if you’re lucky, Super Credits.
To earn Super Credits in Helldivers, keep your eyes peeled for steel crates, bunkers, or drop ships that have the golden beam shining down on them – that’s your cue. Go over there, interact with them, and you might find 10 Super Credits. But, just a heads up, not all POIs are going to have them. It’s a bit of a treasure hunt, so you’ll need a dash of luck and a spirit of adventure to strike gold.
You might need to blast a few of them with explosives or call down some orbital strikes. So, make sure you’ve got the right Stratagems or gear on hand. If you’re aiming to scoop up Super Credits fast, you might want to play it smart. Try tackling easier levels, and maybe lighten up on the armor so you can zip around quicker.
Buy with Real Money
If you’re not in the mood to invest your time and efforts in the game to get Super Credits, there’s a shortcut you can take. You can buy credits directly from the in-game shop, or even through the Steam or PlayStation Store.
The deal with Super Credits is that the more you buy, the better the value. For instance, you can start small with 150 Super Credits for just $1.99, or go big and grab a whopping 2100 Super Credits for $19.99. Splurging on more credits at once does save you some cash in the long run, but of course, it’s a bit more of a hit to the wallet upfront.
Now, just a heads up, you don’t have to spend real money to have a blast in the game. You can still obtain some awesome and fun items using the regular credits and Warbond Medals you earn by playing. But, if you’ve got your eye on some of the slickest and most elusive items, or if you want to support the game developers, spending a little cash on Super Credits is one way to do it.
