Infinity Ward has hinted at the location of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Farm 18 map, and it’s not where you may think. Farm 18 is the name of the latest multiplayer map for Modern Warfare 2, previewed on TikTok. The TikTok video shows a little snippet of actual gaming, so you shouldn’t have high hopes. Alternatively, the video includes interviews with two of the map’s creators about where the team got its ideas.
The MW2’s developer of Farm 18 explains their motivation for using an “industrial cement plant” as a “secret training facility” by saying the Shoothouse map from Modern Warfare inspired them. The event will primarily take place in a warehouse on Farm 18. Thus it is strategically located there.
After that, the video shifts focus to senior environment artist Ashley Thundercliff. Thundercliff describes the team’s efforts to strike a realistic mix while maintaining playability in this clip. “If we go too dense with the foliage, we have people hiding in the corners. If we don’t go dense enough, we don’t sell the narrative of the overgrowth,” he says. Further, you can follow the below official tweet from the Call of Duty account to check out the teaser of Farm 18:

Activision is gradually getting ready to unveil a significant multiplayer feature in its newest game. The same week Farm 18 was unveiled, it was announced that the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 would enter open beta. Players will get two full weeks to try out the game’s multiplayer feature, and those who preorder will get an extra two days to enjoy the game before it officially launches.
Beginning September 16, only PS4 and PS5 owners can play during the first week. Starting on September 22, you may only purchase Modern Warfare 2 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC during the second weekend of a beta version.
We are unaware of the features in the upcoming beta version. However, this time will come soon enough. Call of Duty: Next is a planned event by Activision that will provide information on Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The exact airtimes are still to be determined, but it will premiere on September 16.
