Fortnite Survive Fire Damage - Doom Battle Pass Quest

In the latest Doom Battle Pass in Fortnite, there is one particularly complex challenge right at the start where you’re asked to “Survive fire damage” a total of four times. Sounds intense, right? Like, how often do we intentionally light ourselves on fire in this game? But today, I’m here to help you become a master at not just surviving fire but thriving in it. Here’s how to make this quest easier than stealing loot from your squadmate.

There are 12 challenges to complete to get the 12 rewards this battle pass brings to the game. The first quest in the new Doom Battle Pass wants you to take fire damage. Instead of throwing yourself into the chaos of battle with guns blazing, you’ll need to find yourself some fire and live to tell the tale—four times. But don’t panic, this quest is way easier than it sounds. You just need to survive some flames, and I’ve got you covered on how to make it happen without turning into a crisp.

How to Complete the Survive Fire Damage Quest in Fortnite

Fortnite player taking the fire damage at gas station to complete the Doctor Doom quest.

To complete this mission, you need to take damage from the fire and keep yourself alive in Fortnite. Here are a few good (or fireproof?) methods to easily finish the task:

    • Blow Up a Gas Station: One of the easiest—and admittedly most explosive ways is by visiting any gas station. These places are practically fire hazards waiting to happen! All you need to do is shoot or otherwise blast the gas pump. Once the flames are dancing around the debris, just step into the fire to suffer less damage. Don’t worry, Fortnite’s fire isn’t as deadly as it looks. Just make sure to step out before it eats too much of your health; it’s better to carry a good supply of healing items before trying this method.
    • Take a Ride in a Car: If you don’t like explosive style, another option is to get into a car and let it explode around you. This method is pretty straightforward, but again, remember you’re trying to survive the fire, so make sure you’re not riding in a car that’s already about to blow sky-high before you can leap out.
    • Castle Doom Furnace Dive: Head over to Castle Doom and take a dip in the furnace! This one’s an interesting one for all the Doctor Doom fans who want to lean into the lore. Jump in, take the fire damage, and get out before it’s too late to survive.

Now, while fire damage in Fortnite isn’t going to burn you completely, it can still leave you in a bit of a pickle if you’re not prepared. Make sure to stock up on health items like Medkits, Bandages, or Slurp Juice before you take on the quest. You need to heal up between each fiery encounter unless you don’t care to start your next match with half your health bar missing.

The Doom Battle Pass brings us Doctor Doom himself, along with his Pandora’s Armor skin, which is going to make you look like a legend on the battlefield. This fire objective is just one of 12 in the Doom Battle Pass, and each completed quest brings you one step closer to collecting all the goodies Epic Games has packed into this Marvel-themed season. So, taking some fire damage is a small price to pay for the chance to bring out your inner Doctor Doom and show off your hard-earned loot.
