Valorant’s New Agent will be Revealed During Champions Finals on August

Get ready for time tricks and tactical plays.

Everything We Know About New Valorant Agent 26

The Valorant community has not had a new face to add to the roster and it seems like that will soon change. Revealed in the official trailer for Valorant’s newest map, Abyss, Riot Games gave us hints of what to expect—a new member of its agent roster is on the way. However, like it always does when there is very little information to go on, that excitement soon dissipated.

But the hype train is about to pull out of the station! While we approach Valorant Champions 2024, leaks are starting to emerge and causing the community some excitement. That news actually comes courtesy of a tweet from the always reliable @ValorantUpdated, so mark your calendars for August 25, because that’s when we will be introduced to Agent 26 during the tournament.

Interesting… But what on earth do we know about this mysterious new character? Not much yet, but teasing from the current Battle Pass seems to suggest that this agent might be pulling at the time itself. Yep, time travel may be a game.

Furthermore, Agent 26 is said to be an Initiator as well. For those needing a little refresher, Initiators such as the reliable Sova are naturally equipped with the tools to bust open defensive fortifications and shatter enemy formations; they also play a crucial role in pushing attacks forward. With Gekko—the last new Initiator to enter the field—being introduced a while ago, this can definitely breathe some life into things.

Thus we reached the verge as Valorant Champions Finals is around the corner. Could Agent 26 change the game in how we approach and play Valorant? Only time will tell. Certainly, but one thing is for sure: August can’t come soon enough.
