A lot of new stuff and consoles improvements are included in the new PUBG 18.2 update.
Deston, the latest PUBG map, has been included in the 18.2 update for consoles. The newest 8v8 arena, which takes place in the near future, features a wide range of environments, from dark marshes to clean coastlines, hills, and islands. The PUBG 18.2 update adds a new playable map, new forms of transport, guns, and 2 additional events, in addition to enhancing visuals and fps modifications.
In Deston, players will be able to use ascenders to reach heights. Even on a few occasions, these will be the solely accessible routes to the upper levels of those structures. The utility parachute will also debut in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Jumping from great heights in Deston won’t put your character at risk, thanks to the utility parachute that anyone can get.
Automobiles that can be operated on both water and land known as “airboats,” are also making their presence. These are designed to make it easier for players to move through different areas. Players can also make use of the game’s quickest vehicle, the Pillar Car.
The O12 shotgun is one of the latest weapons available. This shotgun can fire at a rapid pace. We already know that the shoguns are beasts in Close range fights in PUBG. It means medium or close-range combat is where the O12 really shines. The MP9 submachine gun (SMG) is also coming to PUBG alongside the O12 shotgun, and it features a silencer and laser sight for usage.
In order to get players excited about the release of Deston, PUBG has planned a few events that will award them with extra in-game items such as emotes, costumes, and contraband coupons. These are the dates for the first event:
- PDT: July 21, 2022, 12 AM – August 17, 2022, 12 AM
- CEST: July 21, 2022, 9 AM – August 17, 2022, 9 AM
- KST: July 21, 2022, 4 PM – August 17, 2022, 4 PM
To receive the Mini14 skin, contraband vouchers, summer outfits, and much more, players need just log into the game via Xbox once each day for ten days. The duration of the event is as following:
- PDT: July 21, 2022, 12 AM – August 3, 2022, 12 AM
- CEST: July 21, 2022, 9 AM – August 3, 2022, 9 AM
- KST: July 21, 2022, 4 PM – August 3, 2022, 4 PM
Xbox Series X|S and PS5 owners may also expect improved visuals and fps with the PUBG 18.2 update. Both systems now have the ability to display 4K graphics at 60 frames per second.
