Forever Skies was set to have its full release in 2024, with 1.0 launching on PC and PlayStation. This isn’t the first delay that the game has experienced, unfortunately. This time, Far From Home, the developers behind Forever Skies, have decided that the full launch needs to be delayed to early 2025 to ensure that the game has enough polish time. The reason behind the delay is that they’ve started doing new designs and implementing “substantial changes to many existing systems.” Therefore, the delay was needed to make sure the game is the best it can be upon full release.
For those who have been getting stuck into the Early Access period of Forever Skies, there is still more to come. The team behind this game has confirmed that the highly requested 4-player co-op will still be launching on PC Early Access in 2024. While there is no given date, the first Beta tests for the co-op will be starting in the coming weeks, suggesting that it’s closer than you may think.
