We have been hearing for quite some time about Samsung working on a dual-folding triple-screen foldable, and now a leak has surfaced claiming that a triple-screen Galaxy Fold model could be coming out next year.

This year, Samsung was not at its optimal in terms of innovation and revolutionary product range. The company acknowledges that the changes brought forward in this year’s lineup have been incremental and promised to bring significant changes next year. It seems like the company is ready to take a major leap in the foldable phone form factor by opting for a dual-folding triple-screen foldable phone.

A Korean blogger, yeux1122, posted on Naver asserting his previous leak about Samsung potentially working on a Fold Z Variant (Triple) that is most likely to come out next year. Other reports have made similar claims about a triple-screen Galaxy Fold in the works, and it looks like the company is pivoting in a different direction regarding foldable technology.

Reports further claim that the foldable would come with dual in-folding hinges, unlike Huawei Mate XT, which has an outward and inward folding hinge. This change can allow for a separate display for the external screen, as the foldable display generally tends to act as the primary screen and the external screen. Samsung’s opting for such a design overhaul when it comes to the Fold model could lead to a great improvement in the usability and multitasking capabilities of the phone.

The blogger further suggested that a Galaxy Z Fold 7 Special Edition is underway that could come alongside the standard Z Fold 7. This is not the first time we have heard about a special variant being in development. It looks like we could be seeing many major upgrades from Samsung next year, especially with the tipster finally asserting a Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE to also come with the Flip 7.
