The latest version of NVIDIA DLSS, version 3.8.10, brings anti-aliasing, VRAM, and performance improvements in Cyberpunk 2077, as highlighted by a new comparison video shared online.
The comparison put together by MxBenchmarkPC put the game running at native resolution and with NVIDIA DLSS 3.7.20 and 3.8.10 side by side, highlighting the image quality improvements the new version of the more upscale brings over the previous, such as better anti-aliasing-in-several scenarios, although there’s a noticeable downgrade with hair rendering. The new version of the upscaler also improves performance slightly and, most importantly, brings VRAM usage down, which can further improve performance on GPUs with lower VRAM capacity than 16 GB.
The latest version of NVIDIA DLSS seen in action in Cyberpunk 2077 in the video above was released yesterday. Among the changes included in the 3.8.10 version of the upscaler is a reduction of the available profiles, which have been reduced to the E and F profiles. The reduction in available profiles also brought the DLL file size down.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One. You can learn more about the huge 2.0 expansion, which improved the game considerably, and the excellent Phantom Liberty expansion in Alessio’s review.
