Biwin announces its new UDIMM DDR5 memory compatible with both Intel Z890 & AMD X870 platforms, offering up to 8800 MT/s speeds.
Biwin OPAL DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory will be both Intel XMP 3.0 & AMD EXPO compatible, offering 8000+ MT/s speed
Biwin has announced its brand new DDR5 memory called Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory, which will offer incredibly high clock speeds out of the box for both Intel and AMD systems. The Opal DW100 will feature Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO compatibility for optimized memory settings.
This will enable the DDR5 memory to offer high performance out of the box for gaming, memory-intensive workloads, and professional applications. The Opal DW100 is a UDIMM(Unbuffered DIMM), which uses the Hynix A and Hynix M dies for high performance. These memories can operate at a minimum of 8000 MT/s with the latest Intel and AMD systems for Arrow Lake and Zen 5 CPUs respectively.
The UDIMM DDR5 memory is different from the CUDIMM, which is more popular nowadays due to bringing ECC(Error Correction Code) for data integrity. However, UDIMM is still more popular and common on desktops and laptops due to its affordability and decent performance out of the box. Since the latest Intel and AMD platforms can now support over 8000 MT/s, Biwin is readying its newest memory for mainstream users.
With correct CL timings, the memory can be configured to 8800 MT/s for Intel Z890 and 8400 MT/s for AMD X870 motherboards. The former speed can be achieved at CL 44-56-56-134 at 1.45V and the latter at CL 40-52-52-126 at 1.45V, resulting in reduced latency while offering quicker data transfer.
Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory uses a 10-layer PCB for reducing electromagnetic interference and system noise while enhancing signal integrity for better reliability and performance. The memory brings better power stability and reduces power fluctuations, making it ideal for overclocking for improved performance and reliability.
The Biwin Opal DW100 UDIMM DDR5 memory will be available in both White and Black editions and will start shipping in Q4 2024 at competitive prices.
