The Seasonic Prime TX-1600 PSU uses Noctua’s high-performance NF-A12x25 fan and a custom intake grill for incredibly silent and cooler operation.
Seasonic collaborates with Noctua to bring this 1600W 80 Plus Titanium PSU for high-end PC builds at $569
For the first time ever, Seasonic and Noctua have released a new PSU design that combines the best of both worlds: a power supply unit that combines Seasonic’s distinguished PSU design with Noctua’s iconic high-performance and ultra-silent cooling solution.
The new PSU is called the Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition, which was recently discussed and launched today for purchase. The power supply unit includes the popular NF-A12x25 fan, which is used in high-performance Noctua air coolers such as NH-U12A and is a smaller version of the NF-A14 used in NH-D15.
Sea Sonic is very excited to have the opportunity to work with Noctua, the leading innovator in the field of silent PC fans and cooling technology. Our two companies’ mutual commitment to quality and performance makes this partnership so valuable,
We see this cooperation thrive as two industry leaders come together in a great project to create a class-leading premium power supply for performance and silence enthusiasts,
Beyond elevating our product offerings to new heights, the new Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition ATX 3.1 PC power supply is undoubtedly a product of top-level engineering, a true class-leader, set to enhance the global brand presence of both companies.

The fan is popular due to its ultra-silent operation and high static air pressure, which helps dissipate heat quickly. On the Prime TX-1600W, it is coupled with a custom intake grill that reduces the noise by around 8-10 dBA.
Seasonic was and is still one of the most popular PSU manufacturers that produces tier 1 power supply units that offer excellent reliability and performance for the price. The Prime TX-1600 Noctua Edition is built on the state-of-the-art 1600W TX-1600 model, which retails for $539 on Amazon. By collaborating with Noctua, the TX-1600 model has been upgraded and is available for $569 on Amazon.
The company has ensured all the features of the original edition are retained, but necessary changes have also occurred. This includes ATX 3.1 and PCI-E 5.1 compliance and now the unit boasts the 12V-6×2 power connectors instead of 12VHPWR for more reliability. It brings 1600W of capacity for powering high-end GPUs and components, and an 80 Plus Titanium efficiency rating for reaching over 90% efficiency on typical loads.
This is the first time we have seen any company adapting Noctua’s fans for its power supply, which paves the path for more competitors to go this route. Noctua fans’ excellent performance and low noise have made them popular and, while their mustard and brown-color themes may not be that attractive, the Prime TX-1600 still looks gorgeous with a black-brown color combination.
