ASUS’s Zenbook Duo laptop is unlike the 2-in-1 laptops you usually see and the next model features Intel’s top Core Ultra 9 285H.
The ASUS Zenbook Duo with Intel Core Ultra 9 285H is listed for around $3700 but shows the CPU to be a 16-core chip
As of now, Intel has launched only the desktop variants of the Arrow Lake CPUs but has prepared two more lineups dedicated to laptops. These are the HX and H SKUs for high-performance and mainstream laptops respectively. While both lineups will arrive in Q1 2025, we got an early listing of one of these chips on an ASUS laptop.
As spotted by @momomo_us, the UAE-based retailer Gear-Up has recently listed the “ASUS UX8406CA” Zenbook Duo for 1421.93 Bahraini dinars, or around $US3679.
Coincidently, this is the same laptop that was listed on a Russian retailer in September. At this price point, we usually get high-end gaming laptops, featuring RTX 4080 or RTX 4090 GPUs, along with flagship Intel chips. The price may drop with the official release, as the previous leak suggested a US$2890 price tag.
It’s more of a productivity laptop that has no dedicated GPU and works with Integrated Arc Graphics. It’s powered by the flagship Core Ultra 9 285H processor from the Core Ultra 200H series, featuring 16 cores. However, the specs sheet shows that the processor brings 24 cores with a clock speed of up to 5.6GHz.
According to the previous leak, the Core Ultra 9 285H should feature up to a 5.4 GHz max turbo P-core clock, and therefore a 24-core configuration may be an error. The Core Ultra 9 285H…
