CUDIMM DDR5 memory is already crossing the 10,000 MT/s mark and this time it’s on the Gigabyte Z890 AORUS Tachyon with Intel Core Ultra 200S CPUs.
Gigabyte flexes its overclocking capabilities of Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE: Achieves over 10,000 MT/s speed
On one side, the memory makers are on a spree making the fastest DDR5 memory modules, while on the other, motherboard manufacturers are making sure their newest boards can support incredibly high frequencies. Now achieving 10,000 MT/s or higher doesn’t seem to be too far-fetched as one of the latest Gigabyte’s Z890 motherboards has already achieved this incredible feat.
In the latest blog post, Gigabyte boasts about how users can achieve an impressive memory frequency on their latest Z890 high-end motherboards. In the overclocking conducted by HiCookie, Gigabyte used its premium Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE motherboard, made for high-end Core Ultra 200S desktop processors. The system used a V-Color CUDIMM 24GB kit, featuring two 24 GB modules.
The exact model of the V-Color CUDIMM memory isn’t known, but perhaps it’s the Xfinity RGB DDR5 CUDIMM module, featuring clocks of up to 9600 MT/s, which it recently launched for high-performance systems. This is the only CUDIMM we know of from V-Color and the overclocker was able to achieve a whopping 10,600 MT/s of memory speed on the AORUS TACHYON ICE.
Gigabyte says,
The Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE is a motherboard designed exclusively for overclocking enthusiasts, offering exceptional capabilities with its advanced all-digital power design….
