Alongside the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus 13R will occupy the more affordable pricing bracket, offering customers the opportunity to own a high-end smartphone, with perhaps the only compromise being that the company uses a previous-generation chipset like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. On this occasion, an Amazon listing reveals a few specifications and features that will arrive to the ‘price to performance’ handset, so let us check out those details.
‘AI Notes’ is also said to arrive to the OnePlus 13R, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 able to handle tasks like ‘Clean Up,’ ‘Format,’ and others
An Amazon India listing accidentally revealed some of the specifications and features belonging to the OnePlus 13R. This particular model will be positioned as an affordable smartphone, which is why it will not ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Unfortunately, there are no pricing details available, but with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 being a part of its innards, we expect a $599 price for the OnePlus 13R with the base storage model, which may also include 12GB RAM.
Additionally, another noteworthy upgrade is the 6,000mAh battery, which, according to the leaked marketing material, will support SuperVOOC fast charging technology. The rear side shows a triple camera array, but no details about the sensors are mentioned. Given that OnePlus will focus on the value perspective of this model, there is a possibility that it will make some compromises in the imaging department to bring the price down.
Another noteworthy feature coming to the OnePlus 13R is ‘AI Notes,’ which should run effortlessly achievable as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was designed with AI processing in mind. While we have yet to see the feature in action, making notes more articulate or triggering summaries for longer posts might be its core functionality. Intelligent Search is also coming to the OnePlus 13R, along with AI Imaging Power.
While these additions are great, customers are more likely to be attracted to the device’s competitive pricing, and if OnePlus nails that, then we will have a winner on our hands. Sadly, those details are in the dark right now, but we will make sure to update our readers on the latest.
