Apple has seen fit to release its latest iOS 18.2 beta update for the iPhone, which comes with extended Apple Intelligence functionality. The company released its first wave of AI features with the release of iOS 18.1, but it housed limited functionality compared to what the company announced on stage at its WWDC event. Developers can now download and install the latest iOS 18.2 beta 2 on the iPhone 15 and all newer versions through the Settings app.

iOS 18.2 will be a major update for the iPhone, considering the features it will bring to the table. We are anxiously waiting for ChatGPT support on the iPhone, which will extend Siri’s capabilities beyond its devised knowledge base. It will be able to handle complex queries regarding anything that Siri is not capable of. However, iOS 18.2 will also lack some features, such as Siri’s ability to understand personal context, but it will be added later on.
If you are a developer, iOS 18.2 beta 2 can be downloaded through the Settings app on your iPhone. All you have to do is head over to General > Software Updates > Beta Updates and install the build by following the on-screen instructions. However, you have to note that your Apple ID should be connected to your Developer Account to receive the update over the air. The beta is oriented towards developers at this stage, which means that the general public will not be able to download it.
