Today, Apple has seen fit to release iOS 18.1.1, macOS 15.1.1, and visionOS 2.1.1 to the general public for all compatible devices. The latest updates come three weeks after the company released the previous major build. If you were waiting for the latest version, you can download the aforementioned updates from th Settings app on your iPhone, Mac, or the Vision Pro headset.
Apple has released iOS 18.1.1, macOS 15.1.1, and visionOS 2.1.1 to the public
iOS 18.1.1 can be downloaded from the Settings app on your iPhone by heading over to General > Software Updates > and download the latest version. Your iPhone will restart with the latest software installed. Other than iOS 18.1.1, Apple has also released iPadOS 18.1.1 to the public, which can be installed through the same mechanism on the iPad. If you are wondering, the latest update brings important security fixes for all compatible devices.
Apple has also released visionOS 2.1.1 for Vision Pro, which can be installed through the Settings app. All you have to do is navigate to General and choose the Software Update option. Once you do that, simply select the latest update and remove the headset to install visionOS 2.1.1. As mentioned, visionOS 2.1.1 also brings security fixes to the Vision Pro and is recommended for all users.
Lastly, Apple has also seeded macOS 15.1.1 for all Macs, which can be downloaded through the Software Update section in System Settings. macOS 15.1.1 also brings security updates to all Macs and we would suggest all users to download and install the latest build on their devices as soon as you can.
The latest updates do not include any front-facing additions, as the company has reserved them for a major update which is speculated to arrive on December 9. iOS 18.2 and macOS 15.2 will bring massive upgrades to Apple Intelligence, including ChatGPT integration with Siri, Image Playground, and Genmoji.
