Intel’s next-generation Panther Lake CPUs might feature both desktop and laptop variants, with the latter eyeing a CES 2026 launch.
Intel Panther Lake-H Laptop CPUs Reportedly Debut One Year After Arrow Lake-H At CES
In a series of posts, Lenovo China’s manager under the “思考未来啊” name has revealed some new details regarding Intel’s next-gen Panther Lake CPUs. Panther Lake will be the follow-up to the Intel Arrow Lake “Core Ultra Series 2” lineup and should be branded under the “Core Ultra Series 3” line.
The posts first talk about the Intel Panther Lake-H family which will reportedly debut at CES 2026. The upcoming Intel Arrow Lake-H laptop CPUs will debut at CES 2025 alongside the Arrow Lake-HX family and target higher-end options. For the desktop side, current rumors suggest that Intel Nova Lake-S CPUs will be coming to the platform, but there is a subtle hint by the manager that Panther Lake might also introduce a desktop “S” series a year after the Arrow Lake-S lineup, so around late 2025.
Intel hasn’t yet clarified the longevity plans of its LGA 1851 socket which currently and officially only supports Arrow Lake-S CPUs. This has made some users cautious about upgrading to the new LGA platform, since if Panther Lake or Nova Lake Desktop CPUs launch with a newer socket, the existing motherboards would become defunct.
