Google is not aggressively working on its product and its Gemini AI initiatives but is also focused on improving user experience with its apps and devices. While Google Maps, ever since its incorporation, has made life easier for its end users by improving road navigation and allowing for guidance, especially on unfamiliar routes, it is bringing in more enhancements that will make the experience even more seamless. The advanced navigation will include the interface even pointing out if you are in the right lane and which lane to opt for ahead.

Have you ever been in a situation where complex intersections had you confused if you were in the right lane or not, and Google Maps, while it has been a huge help, was limited in this accuracy, too? Google heard you and has been working on more enhanced features for the app that are coming out in November.
The new enhancements for Google Maps would be made available in about 30 major U.S. metro areas for Android and iOS and would be able to give lane-specific guidance that will make driving in unfamiliar areas less stressful for the end user. Although Google Maps does have some quite handy navigation features such as 3D route visualization and lane guidance, with this update, the experience would become even more seamless, especially when going through busy city streets.
