ASUS Prepares 20+ Next-Gen Laptops For CES, Featuring RTX 50 Series GPUs Paired With AMD Strix Halo & Intel Core Ultra 200H/HX CPUs

ASUS’s next-gen laptops, equipped with NVIDIA RTX 50 GPUs in AMD Strix Halo & Intel Core Ultra 200 CPU options, are out of the bag. Some of these models are already listed on retail websites even though they are currently unavailable for purchase. There are 26 laptop models with different AMD and Intel CPUs that ASUS is supposedly launching at the CES event.

We are about two weeks away before CES 2025 commences. Leaks have already started surfacing and one can get a sneak peek at the upcoming hardware from different PC hardware vendors. We recently reported about GEEKOM announcing the first mini PCs to feature the upcoming Core Ultra 200H and Qualcomm CPUs and today, it’s ASUS that has prepared a plethora of laptop models.

The leaker @94G8LA posted a table containing all the upcoming ASUS laptop models along with their core specifications. Surprisingly, not only does the table contain information about the processors but also about NVIDIA’s Blackwell laptop gaming GPUs, which will be somewhat inferior to the desktop variants. From AMD Strix Halo APUs to Intel’s Core Ultra 200H and premium 200HX CPUs, there will be several different configurations that will be deployed in the upcoming ROG laptop models.

The model GZ302EA, which we recently reported, will utilize the Ryzen 9 HALO AI MAX+ 395, which will be a 16-core/32-thread chip with Radeon 8060S iGPU, featuring 40 CU based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture. The rest of the lineup is either based on Core Ultra 9 285H, 285HX, 275HX, or the older Zen 4-based Ryzen 9 7945HX/7940HX CPUs. However, all the models will ship with the RTX 50 series GPUs, including the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070, and even the 5060 and 5050.

The RTX 5060 and 5050 are surprising to see here since they probably won’t be released at CES and will follow the first batch after a month or two (specifically the RTX 5060). Therefore, the laptop models with RTX 5060 and 5050 may launch later. Apart from the core configuration, which will feature high-end specifications, the laptops will boast top-notch display panels, including OLED 2K 240Hz panels, miniLED panels, and budget 1080p panels as well.

Coming back to the GPUs, the basic specs of the RTX 50 series have been revealed. The RTX 5090 will feature 16 GB GDDR7 memory, similar to the RTX 4090 except for the memory type. However, the desktop RTX 5090 will double this memory capacity. The RTX 5080 will also feature 16 GB VRAM and the RTX 5070 Ti will ship with 12 GB. The RTX 5070 and 5060 will both have 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM. The RTX 5070 and higher-end GPUs will feature a TDP range of 140W-175W, which is also somewhat similar to their predecessors.

Now, three of these laptop models are currently listed on a few retail sites along with their prices, but you won’t be able to buy them until ASUS officially launches them for sale. We will probably see these being unveiled at CES 2025 but they may ship a bit later.
