AMD has successfully unlocked the key to high gaming/productivity performance with the 3D V-Cache technology. While high productivity performance wasn’t the case with earlier X3D chips, with the Ryzen 9000X3D chips, this has changed forever. It’s now rumored that AMD is planning to expand its X3D footprint to workstations and mobile platforms.
Recently, there was a rumor about AMD preparing Threadripper processors with 3D V-Cache technology, and in the latest leak, we got some more insights. As reported at Chiphell Forums by zhangzhonghao, it’s rumored that AMD is going to bring 3D V-Cache technology on the next-gen Threadripper CPUs & Ryzen APUs.
According to the leaker, the supply chain has confirmed that AMD is indeed preparing Threadripper processors with 3D V-Cache technology. But there is more! AMD is also expected to bring the X3D chips to the mobile platform for the mainstream market.
