This CES, we will see more new processors from AMD and Intel in the upcoming GEEKOM mini PCs. Surprisingly, GEEKOM also has a Qualcomm-based mini PC, which is supposedly the world’s first.
GEEKOM to Unveil Several Mini-PCs at CES 2025, Featuring the Rare Ryzen AI 9 HX “375” APU and the Flagship Core Ultra 200H CPU
GEEKOM, the popular mini-PC manufacturer, is taking things to the next level by introducing configurations that no one has yet introduced. In the new press release, the company announced that it would unveil several new mini-PCs with the latest processors to bring powerful computing into the hands of users.
One is the GEEKOM A9 MAX, which will be based on the Zen 5-based Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 processor, which hasn’t appeared on any other device. AMD has three processors in the Strix Point lineup, and the HX 375 is the flagship one. The only difference between the HX 370 and the HX 375 is the NPU performance, which the latter excels at by five TOPs more. The rest is identical.
The second is the GEEKOM IT15, which will be powered by the upcoming Intel Core Ultra 285H processor, the flagship one in the series, which hasn’t yet hit the shelves. This indicates that Intel has prepared the Core Ultra 200H processors for launch this CES, and we will be seeing more such systems based on these processors.
The third one is the GEEKOM QS1, supposedly the first mini-PC to feature a Qualcomm chipset. It will be powered by the Snapdragon X1E-80-100, an ‘Elite’ chipset that brings a 12-core processor, 42 MB of cache, Qualcomm Adreno GPU, and 8448 MT/s of LPDDR5X memory support. I think not only the QS1 but also both the A9 MAX and IT15 are the world’s first mini-PCs to bring the newest processors.
Mini-PCs are far easier to carry than a full-fledged desktop and typically require less space than a laptop. This is because they lack peripherals, but the system configuration is similar to budget laptops that do not have a discrete GPU. However, the Strix Point and the Core Ultra 200S CPUs bring excellent graphical performance out of the box without needing a dGPU.
We will hear more about these mini PCs at CES 2025, but we don’t know their pricing or availability on the market at the moment.
