ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF is once again in the talks for being a monster at overclocking memories. This time it helped the G.Skill Trident Z5 CK DDR5 CUDIMM memory reach a whopping 12,666 MT/s speed.
Using liquid nitrogen cooling, Splave steps ahead of AKM and saltycroissant in breaking the limits on DDR5 memory overclocking
Another overclocking world record is here! This time it’s the G.Skill memory, Trident Z5 CK RGB DDR5 model to be exact, which broke all the world records for overclocking. Traditionally, DDR5 memories have a huge potential to reach high frequencies but this one went one step ahead.
The popular overclocker, Splave was able to achieve a staggering 6333 MHz or 12666 MT/s of memory speed with his single 24 GB G.Skill Trident Z5 CK RGB memory stick, breaking the previous records of 6317.5 MHz by snakeeyes, 6263.9 MHz by AKM, and 6175.4 MHz by saltycroissant, which were going against each other furiously in making world records day after day.
While AKM and Saltycroissant were using V-Color Xfinity RGB memory to achieve such high clocks, Splave was able to beat them with the G.Skill one that used liquid nitrogen cooling on a system comprising the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and the ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard. This is the motherboard model which was also used by the previous world record holders as well, and we have already tested its greatness in our review.
We’ve done it AGAIN! With the powerhouse combo of the Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 285K CPU, ASRock Z890 Taichi OCF motherboard, and of course G.SKILL memory, we have broken the World Record in DDR5 memory frequency at a jaw-dropping DDR5-12666!
– G.Skill
Splave is a beast, both in his physique and overclocking. To achieve this speed, a lot of time and effort are needed, along with consistency and dedication. However, it’s not for the masses, and you won’t probably see any noticeable benefit from such high speeds in real-world applications. It’s something that enthusiastic overclockers do as a hobby.
