Intel’s next-gen “Battlemage” discrete GPUs are now reported to launch by December 3rd, as revealed by “exclusive” information by Videocardz.

Intel’s Much Waited “Xe2” Battlemage dGPUs Are Now a Few Days Away From Launch, Seemingly A Confined Showcase

It seems like, after much anticipation, we finally have a release date for Intel’s upcoming Battlemage desktop GPUs. Team Blue is reportedly launching the lineup by the first week of December, only a few days from now. The information from Videocardz states that Intel plans to launch the Arc Battlemage B580 and the B570 initially, and this has been confirmed by respective AIB partners as well. Intel is said to launch their exclusive “Limited Edition” models as well, replicating their strategy for what they did with the Arc GPU release.

Apart from this, the review embargo is said to be lifted by mid-December. Interestingly, Intel will have a separate embargo for its “Limited Edition” model, which will be lifted by December 12, while the custom AIB model reviews will be available to the public by December 13. This move is aimed at bringing Intel’s “in-house” model to the spotlight first, potentially garnering more sales for Team Blue.

Information surrounding other variants is unclear for now, and Intel seems to be making a “confined” Battlemage launch for a start. Maybe the higher-end models will be released later next year, but this isn’t confirmed for now. This news comes after Intel’s Arc Battlemage B580 started to make rounds on the internet, especially at Geekbench listings and surfacing across several retailers. Fortunately, we know that Intel’s B580 GPU is expected to retail around $250-$260, putting it in the budget segment.

Unfortunately, we don’t have details about Intel’s Arc Battlemage B570 yet, but the naming scheme certainly hints that it will be a relatively “inferior” variant to the B580, likely replacing the Arc A570.
