Google is looking to make some changes to accommodate its early Android 16 release plans. This year, the company’s Pixel 9 series launched two months early, but it saw fit to release Android 15 for all compatible models almost two months later in October. While it was an eerie move from the company’s end, it is now planning to release Android 16 much earlier than expected.

According to AndroidHeadlines, Google will release Android 16 earlier than expected and while the company has not shared the exact dates, there a quite a few speculations that could be considered plausible. We presume that Google will launch the Android 16 update alongside th Pixel 10 lineup next year, allowing the new devices to be refreshed on a hardware and software level.
According to sources, Google will release Android 16 on June 3. The update’s AOSP build will be released on the same day as the OTA for all Pixel devices, at least two to three months earlier than the company’s typical time frame. Google says the main reason for shifting the release before the usual timing is to port the software to new devices launching in the fall. This means the company’s devices coming out in July, August, and September will get an Android 16 update on the first day.
